Sacramento Redistricting Maps

The Sacramento Independent Redistricting Commission (SIRC) has been engaged in a public process for approximately one year to redistrict the City of Sacramento. The SIRC invited the public to submit maps for consideration in the development of new district boundaries. The Sacramento Independent Redistricting Commission on December 1, 2021, directed staff to create two redistricting maps for further analysis and deliberation. Each map is the result of the merger of publicly submitted maps.

Below are a set of maps. Maps A and B are the proposed maps, one of which, will be adopted by the SIRC and will become the new council district map for the next 10 years. Additionally, found below are city council district maps adopted in 2011, 2001, and 1991. Map A ensures that communities of Meadowview, Detriot, and Deerfield Mesa Grande are given a collective voice.
